BANNOCK COUNTY, Idaho – Transitioning from military service to civilian life comes with challenges. That’s why Bannock County Veteran Services is hosting the Mission 3E Veterans Summit designed to welcome home service members, veterans, and their families, while providing them with a clear path forward. The event will take place on Saturday, August 15th, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at The Village, located at 345 N. 5th Avenue in Pocatello.
Built around the three core pillars of readjustment—Education, Employment, and Entrepreneurship—the summit aims to directly eliminate the frequent feelings of emptiness or lack of direction that can occur during the military-to-civilian transition. Attendees will gain access to tactical workshops, professional networking opportunities, and dedicated transition support services tailored to help them build a purposeful post-military career.
“We are building a community where every Bannock County Veteran is welcomed home with a mission, a career, and a purpose,” said Veteran Services Coordinator Melissa Hartman. “Our goal is to ensure that our local heroes recognize that purpose still awaits them long after their military service has concluded.”
The summit will feature resources the East Idaho Vet Center, Trio Veterans, the Veteran Student Services Center, the Idaho Department of Labor, Idaho State University, and the Pocatello CBOC VA Clinic, and many others.
Local food trucks will be on-site throughout the day, providing a welcoming environment for families. Attendance is free, and pre-registration required here.
