School is back, which means more children, buses, bicycles, and pedestrians will be out and about.
As you travel through school zones and neighborhoods:
- Slow down and stay alert.
- Look twice before moving your vehicle.
- Put the phone away.
- Watch for children crossing the street.
- Be prepared for school buses stopping frequently.
- Pay attention to school zone signs and changing traffic patterns.
Kids can be unpredictable, and they may not always see you coming. The best way to keep them safe is to expect the unexpected.
