(Risch for U.S. Senate Press Release, September 11, 2026)
The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund announced its endorsement of U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-Idaho).
Senator Risch is the only candidate running for U.S. Senator in Idaho to receive an A+ rating from the NRA-PVF.
“The right to keep and bear arms is a fundamental right protected – not granted – by our Constitution. Defending the Second Amendment and ensuring the federal government does not infringe upon the rights of law-abiding gun owners has always been a top priority of mine,” said Senator Risch. “I appreciate the NRA-PVF’s recognition of this work throughout my public service.”
Senator Risch’s strong defense of the Second Amendment stands in stark contrast to one of his opponents, Todd Achilles, a liberal who has proudly accepted an endorsement and donation from Everytown for Gun Safety, a national gun control group that has openly advocated for banning legal firearms and the repeal of self-defense laws.
In announcing the NRA-PVF’s endorsement of Risch, the Association wrote:
“We are grateful for your leadership in ensuring that our Second Amendment rights are protected, even in times of crisis, and we thank you for your continued opposition to the Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries gun control agenda of banning lawfully owned firearms, ammunition, and magazines,” stated John Commerford, Chairman of NRA-PVF.
