Pocatello–A local family will be getting a new table to eat their Christmas dinner on this year, thanks to local business owner Ryan Nelson of Naughty Pines Woodworking.
“Christmas is a hard time for a lot of families because times are tight, so this is a small thing we can do,” Ryan said in a video he posted on the company’s Facebook page last month. Lumber to create the tabletop has already been donated, though a base is still needed. The company is also seeking donations of items to go with the table. If possible, they would like to include chairs, non-perishable food items, cash and gift cards, and other Christmas gifts. The goal is to “give [the family] a great holiday and help with some of the stress,” Ryan told the Observer.
To nominate a family or donate to the project, call or text Ryan at 208-380-0094. Nominations are due by November 15; donations need to be received by December 1.
