(City of Pocatello Press Release, November 6, 2026)

The City of Pocatello is pleased to announce that the intersection of Hiline Road, Pearl Street, and El Rancho Boulevard is now open to traffic as crews wrap up the Hiline Road and Signalization Improvement Project.

Construction began in July 2026, and over the past four months, crews have been working on roadway and signalization improvements designed to enhance traffic flow and safety at the intersection.

With final paving operations complete, the intersection has reopened to motorists. While the majority of construction is finished, crews may still be in the area completing minor finishing work.

The City recognizes that construction can be inconvenient, particularly at a busy intersection, and appreciates the patience of residents, businesses, and motorists throughout the project. In just a few months, crews have made significant improvements that will benefit drivers and the community for years to come.

The Hiline Road improvements are part of the City’s ongoing efforts to build a safer, more accessible, and better-connected transportation network, consistent with the goals outlined in the City’s Comprehensive Plan 2040.
