Yesterday’s 1st Saturday AMVETS Idaho Post 1 Pancake Breakfast helped raise funds for the Idaho Prime Baseball Team (8u), with members of the team assisting the veterans by helping with cleanup and sanitizing tables.
The baseball players compete in Southeast Idaho and Utah. Donations and tips received at the breakfast will help with tournament fees and equipment fees.
The popular AMVETS breakfast is held the first Saturday of each month at the Bannock County Veterans Memorial Building, 300 N. Johnson Avenue in Pocatello, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The cost is $6.00 per person, with first responders in uniform and children under 5 eating free. It includes pancakes, eggs, hash browns, bacon, two kinds of sausage, biscuits & gravy, coffee and orange juice.
