April 12, 2021

The week beginning April 11, 2021, is Dispatcher Appreciation Week.  it is a special week set aside to show appreciation for America’s Emergency Services dispatchers.

Emergency dispatch centers are manned 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.  Dispatchers are always at the ready to answer your calls and direct the correct emergency services workers to respond in the event of an emergency.

The North Bannock Fire Department (NBFD) recognized our local dispatchers with a post noting the five dispatch centers in the region and thanking them for their work.  They said, “Did you know that our region has five Dispatch centers?  Bannock County Sheriff‘s office, Pocatello, Chubbuck, Idaho State Police, and Fort Hall.  The Pocatello communications center dispatches Pocatello Police, Pocatello Fire, Bannock County Ambulance including sub stations in Downey, Lava, and Inkom, as well as Animal Control.  Thank you for a job well done!  (See the NBFD post on their Facebook page, here:  NBFD, FB)
