America has, perhaps, never been more polarized than it is today. Democrats in Congress are pushing proposals that would fundamentally change our government in a blatant attempt to ensure their party can wield power without an effective opposition. They seek to change both the Court and the Senate to instruments of partisan politics.
This is not what our Founders envisioned. But, what did the Founders have to say about the institutions that they created with the Constitution? Unless we understand the thinking that went into the founding of our nation, it can be difficult to make a case to preserve what the Founders established.
Fortunately, there is a great opportunity available in Pocatello/Chubbuck to learn about our nation, its founding, and the institutions created to preserve our liberties. Join Art da Rosa, Monday nights from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. as he leads the discussion group, Patriots for Liberty and Constitution. The group meets at Mountain Valley Baptist Church, 202 S. 7th Avenue in Pocatello.
Tonight’s (Monday, May 3) discussion will be on Federalist 63, in which Madison discusses the U. S. Senate. All who support individual freedom are invited, and encouraged, to attend.
