POW*MIA 18th Annual Thunder Run is Underway

The Pocatello POW*MIA Awareness Association is commemorating Memorial Day this year with the 18th Annual Idaho Thunder Run, today, Monday, May 31, 2021. The ride began this morning at Century High School and will soon be departing Downey for Lava Hot Springs, Chubbuck, and is set to finish at the Field of Heroes at Century High School, arriving at 4:45 p.m. for the closing ceremony.

As they do every year, the Idaho Thunder Run will include a trip around the exterior of the Idaho State Veterans Home to salute the Heroes on the Hill in Pocatello.

The Pocatello POW*MIA Awareness Association is a 501c(3) dedicated to the financial support & public awareness of the Prisoners of War and Missing In Action (POW*MIA) issue, the National League of POW/MIA Families, the Veterans Home in Pocatello, ID and charities in the local communities that need their support. They are guided by the principles of freedom, sacrifice, liberty and brotherhood to ensure that they accomplish their mission and focus on the issue at hand.
