Today, July 1, 2021, Idahoans across the state are celebrating the 1st anniversary of California’s ban on their bureaucrats from traveling to our beautiful state.

The citizens of an increasing number of states have joined those celebrating the great news that the once, “Golden State,” will not allow members of California’s public agencies from spreading their ideas, which have caused so much destruction and misery on the West Coast, to infect still pristine parts of the country.  Seventeen states are currently on the California travel ban list.  The list recently grew after five new states, including Florida, were added to the list just days ago.  The states were added to the list after the introduction of legislation to prevent transgender women and girls from participating in school sports consistent with their gender identity.

Ironically, California officials view their actions as a punishment to the states that have been added to their ban list.

Still, some Idahoans have expressed concern over Idahoans celebrating the California ban.  As one Pocatello resident, who asked to remain anonymous, said, “I think there is a danger to these celebrations.  If the California politicians realize we’re celebrating their bans, they might reverse themselves and increase the number of bureaucrats traveling here.”  When it was pointed out that politicians who virtue signal don’t typically develop logical policies, he replied, “Yeah, you’re probably right.”
