The Commemorative Air Force will be stopping in Pocatello from today, Monday, July 12, through Sunday, July 18, as part of the Flying Legends of Victory Tour. As part of their visit, residents can ride in or tour a B-17G Bomber.
A message on the Airport’s social media page reads:
We invite everyone to join us at the Airport on Monday at 11:00 to welcome the CAF’s B-17 “Sentimental Journey.” The airport was originally built as an Army Air Base in WWII and the B-17 was one of the aircraft that trained here. We are proud to welcome this “Flying Legend” back to Pocatello. The short welcome ceremony will be located on the aircraft ramp next to the air traffic control tower. Paved parking is available outside the fence, south of the tower. For information on aircraft tours and rides, see the attached flyer or visit https://www.azcaf.org/location/pocatello-id-tour-stop/
