Dear Editor,

My name is Ginny Christensen.  I’m a retired school teacher from School District #25.  I taught for 18 years in the district, at Idaho State University for 6 years, substitute taught for 4 years and I have 8 children.

Clayton Armstrong has taught and coached my children and thousands of students in our district.  He is an outstanding teacher and coach and has always had VERY HIGH expectations of his students and athletes.  The kids always rose to his expectations.

I remember the challenges of trying to teach some of our low academic and behaviorally challenged students at Irving Middle School.  Because of the superb wrestling program Clay had developed, nearly every boy in the school fought for a place on the team.  I so enjoyed watching these kids’ grades, work ethic self esteem and respect for others improve.  In some instances I would use the word, “MIRACULOUS!”

Clayton Armstrong is also well respected by his fellow teachers, administrators, the parents and community.  Clay and Sharma’s 7 children were a delight to teach in my classroom….respectful and hardworking and each one a leader.

Clayton cares deeply about all aspects of School District # 25.  He has the experience, leadership skills and knowledge as a teacher, coach and parent to be a major asset to our school board.

I highly endorse Clayton Armstrong as a trustee for our School Board!

Ginny Christensen
