Entries for Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) Art Contest are due by February 1, 2022.

The art contest was established to reward homeschool students for their artistic talent and to support the charitable program HSLDA Compassion, through which HSLDA provides low-income homeschooling families with grants, scholarships, and other educational and legal resources to help them continue homeschooling in hard times.

All privately homeschooled students from age 7-19 are invited to enter the contest.  Three age categories have been established with students asked to submit artworks characteristic of American Realism, American Folk Art, or Hudson River School Art.

Each student may enter up to two pieces of art.  The cost to enter is $15 per entry, or $10 per entry for HSLDA member families.  Cash prizes for the winning entries range from $50 to $500.
