(City of Pocatello Press Release, March 31, 2022)

Pocatello’s Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) has posted the agenda for their Wednesday, April 6, meeting.  The meeting is set to begin at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 911 N. 7th Avenue.

On the agenda are action items regarding a Certificate of Appropriateness for 206 N. Arthur Avenue (NeighborWorks Pocatello) and 359 N. Main Street (School District 25).

During their March meeting, the HPC ultimately voted in favor of granting a COA to School District 25 for signage at 325 N Arthur Avenue, even though, according to the minutes, “The signage does not meet the City’s current sign code regarding signage in the historic district.”

Following the meeting a work session will ensue regarding the Brady Chapel Centennial Campaign Plan and plans to engage the public in the Downtown Historic District.
