City Creek Road tree trimming volunteers are needed on April 9, anytime between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Are you looking for an outdoor volunteer project?  The City needs your help trimming back trees and brush from the City Creek Road so that the Forest Service can do a lot of erosion control work on this road this spring.  This is a great project for service groups, groups of friends, or individuals.

If you can’t make it on the 9th, we’d love your help earlier.  Email or call Hannah at hsanger@pocatello.us (208) 705-6360 and organize your own group to do some work in the next couple of weeks.

On the 9th we will have some hand tools and lots of cotton gloves and LOTS OF SNACKS!!!.

Volunteers are needed to:

1.    Check everyone in and out (we are using your volunteer time as a grant match)

2.    Organize a group to do a particular section of the road (bring tools).

3.    Help where needed (move cut branches off the road, cut branches with pruners or saw).

** If you intend to bring a chainsaw you must call Hannah Sanger at 208-705-6360 ahead of time.  No exceptions**
