(Bannock County Press Release, May 3, 2022)

Bannock County is inviting the media and the 2022 election candidates to observe officials certify the County Ballot Tabulation Machines ahead of the upcoming election.

Volunteers from the League of Women Voters, the Democratic Party, and the Republican Party will be in attendance for the certification.

“We re-certify our ballot tabulation machines before every election to make sure the machines are secure, working properly, and are ready to go for Election Day.  The public is welcome to attend or watch our Facebook Livestream so that they can ask questions and feel confident in the integrity of our voting systems,” said Clerk Jason Dixon.

The Elections Office will Livestream the certification on the Bannock County Facebook page.

Early voting for the May 17 Primary Election has begun at the Elections Office on North 6th Avenue.  The last day to vote early is Friday, May 13, 5:00 p.m.
