It can be hard to figure out what to do with kids during the summer that are too old for daycare and too young to be left unsupervised every day. Pocatello’s Outdoor Recreation Program will take kids from 9am-3pm and go out in the community to do a different outdoor activity each day. Activities will include rock climbing, swimming, hiking, tubing, kayaking, paddle boarding, disc golf, educational lessons and more! The Teen program features an overnight paddle trip. The Tween program has a paddle trip done in a single day without an overnighter. This is a great chance to unplug from devices for a day or two.
Tweens (ages 9-11) can sign up for Mondays, Wednesdays or both. Teens (ages 12-16) can sign up for Tuesdays, Thursdays or both. The costs are:
- Tween, Resident: $175
- Tween, Non-Resident: $200
- Teen, Resident: $200 Teen,
- Non-Resident: $225
