The ChaseStrong Second Annual Strength & Fitness Fest takes place today, Saturday, June 11, at the Mountain View Event Center, 1567 Way to Grace Avenue in Pocatello. The full day of competitions includes Strongman, Powerlifting, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Arm Wrestling, and a Ruck March.
A new event this year is the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Gate City Five Tournament. Itis a 5 on 5 quintet style event, submission only. The four teams competing are: PAC Jiu Jitsu, Colossal Fight Company, Vibe Jiu Jitsu & Grappling Arts, and 10th Planet Salt Lake City.
The first match begins at 10:00 a.m., with Colossal Fight Company taking on PAC Jiu-Jitsu. At 11:00 a.m., Vibe Jiu Jitsu & Grappling Arts battles 10th Planet Salt Lake City. The championship match is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
The event helps support AMVETS and their local veterans’ programs.
