Pocatello’s Constitution Day Camp, put on by Reconnect SE Idaho, kicked off yesterday, Monday, June 21, at Calvary Chapel, 1633 Olympus Drive in Pocatello.  The camp takes place this week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day.  Over 75 children, ages 7-12, are attending this year.

On their first day, the attendees learned about Benjamin Franklin, the Gadsden flag, and the surrender at Yorktown.  They recreated the Boston Tea Party and Paul Revere’s ride.

On Friday, June 24, the week of learning concludes with the children performing the musical, ‘Take Your Hat Off when the Flag Goes By.’  The musical, also held at Calvary Chapel, begins at 7:00 p.m.  Guests are asked to arrive at least ten minutes before the start of the performance.
