The POW*MIA Awareness Association’s 22nd Annual Rally & Rodeo begins today, Friday, July 22, and concludes tomorrow, Saturday, July 23, at the Bannock County Event Center in Pocatello.
The gates open on Friday at 1:00 p.m., and at 3:00 p.m. the world’s largest POW*MIA flag raising takes place. The Stasia Acrobats perform at 4:00 p.m. Tonight at 8:00 p.m. the Mayhem Spectrum Concert & Illumination Manipulation Poi Light Show takes place.
On Saturday the gates open at 8:00 a.m. followed by the fun run. Motorcycle rodeo events take place throughout the day, including the Kids Bike Rodeo, set for 11:00 a.m. The Tribute Ceremony is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. followed by the P-51 Fly By at 1:30.
Saturday evening’s entertainment features the Scarlet Rain Concert & Illumination Manipulation Poi Light Show.
The cost for entry is only $15 per person and includes both Friday and Saturday admission. For those ages 14-18, the cost of admission is $10. Veterans with ID and children 13 and under may attend for free.
