Pocatello, ID–Jeff Young, owner of Lone Pine Tactical and a USCCA Certified Firearms Instructor, is offering a Home Defense Workshop on Monday, September 12, at 5:30 p.m. Delta Defense is sponsoring this free class, which will be held at Gold’s Gym, 1800 Flandro Dr #200, in Pocatello.
Instructor Jeff Young described the Home Defense class for the Pocatello Chubbuck Observer:
The vast majority of our population are good people, but there are those few that try to take advantage of us. This course will help you with understanding the importance of knowing what is going on around you. You will learn the history and meaning behind situational awareness, and how to apply this practice in your daily lives. We will also work on personal self defense plans and home defense plans, and how to make our homes safe.
Before launching Lone Pine Tactical, Young spent ten years in the Air Force and 30 years in law enforcement, including 25 years on his department’s SWAT team. Though he became certified as a USCCA Firearms Instructor just two years ago, his career teaching experience is far more extensive, including Police Firearms Instructor, Combat Firearms Instructor, Less Lethal Munitions Instructor, and Tactics Instructor. While he is known locally for his Enhanced Concealed Carry Classes, he offers a variety of other classes as well.
