Pocatello–Bannock County will commemorate the 9/11 tragedy in a ceremony on the Courthouse steps on Sunday, September 11, and 4:00 p.m. The announcement on social media reads:
Bannock County presents the 21st anniversary of September 11, 2001 with our annual 9/11 Patriot Day Community Commemoration.
Please join us on the front steps of the Bannock County Courthouse, 624 E Center St. Pocatello, Idaho, for a flag-raising ceremony to honor the lives lost twenty-one years ago.
Join us for dinner, provided by the Veteran Services Organizations, at the Bannock County Veterans Memorial Building at 300 N. Johnson immediately following the program.
There will be a motorcycle tribute that will arrive 5 minutes prior to the ceremony. If you would like to participate in the ride, please meet on 3rd Ave near Center Street at 3:15 p.m. We will drive up Center Street obeying all traffic lights.
