Pocatello, ID–It was standing room only at the GOP’s “Keep Idaho Red” Roadshow at the Bannock County Veterans Memorial Building on Saturday afternoon.  Idaho GOP Chairwoman Dorothy Moon introduced candidates from all levels of the ballot, beginning with U.S. Senator Mike Crapo and Governor Brad Little, and ending with the two candidates for Bannock County Commissioner.  Each candidate was given a few minutes to address the assembled voters.

Nearly all fifteen of the candidates encouraged the crowd to vote Republican, and bring their friends and family along.  They also spoke briefly about their goals if elected.

The exception was District 29’s State Senate candidate David Worley, who focused his remarks on the philosophical side of politics.  He pointed out that the major challenges of our day, such as abortion and radical sex and gender ideologies, are topics that transcend politics.  “No nation can survive the death of its spirit,” he said, encouraging his hearers to rediscover the faith that guided our Founders.

The audiences’ responses to the candidates left no doubt about who their favored politicians are.  While all fifteen were warmly received, only Raúl Labrador, David Worley, and John Crowder were greeted by thunderous applause, cheers, and standing ovations both before and after speaking.
