BLACKFOOT, IDAHO – On Tuesday, November 8, 2022, State Representative Julianne Young (R-Blackfoot) received nearly sixty-eight percent (68%) of the vote for Idaho State Representative, Legislative District 30, seat B, delivering a decisive electoral win over her Democratic challenger.

“I am truly humbled and honored to receive the support and trust of so many of my Bingham County friends and neighbors. I am grateful for the opportunity to again represent and serve the good people of Legislative District 30,” said Representative Julianne Young (R-Blackfoot). “What a blessing to participate in our inspired system of self-governance! We live in interesting times and face challenges we could never have imagined only a few years ago. We also have great opportunities as we pull together and rise to those challenges.”

“I sincerely appreciate our local elections officials who have given countless hours to ensure the election process was conducted with professionalism and integrity. Furthermore, I appreciate those citizens who participated in civil discourse and then took time to cast their vote. As always, participation and sacrifice remain the price of freedom!”

“As we move toward January, addressing our significant surplus in revenue, which is a direct result of inflation, is a top priority. Continuing to reduce tax burdens, including the unsustainable growth of property taxes, will help Idahoans navigate the pressures of inflation on their personal financial situations. Technological advances continue to provide new opportunities for the delivery of education and healthcare that Idahoans can benefit from, and state law should facilitate these opportunities. In addition, as our state welfare budget continues to grow logarithmically, there is a need for substantial reforms that support the ideals of personal responsibility and the American dream. Last but not least is the vital importance of protecting our foundational institutions, including the family and the free market. I hope to see positive strides in many of these areas during the upcoming session.”

“I look forward to working with and serving the members of our community.” continued Rep. Young. “I am confident that as we work together to proactively apply time-tested principles we can successfully meet our challenges and secure the blessings of freedom to ourselves and our posterity! May God continue to bless this beautiful land of America!”
