Pocatello–In a recent social media post, local watchdog group Pocatello for Accountable Government Entities announced that they have asked the City to seek public input before deciding how to use the federal funds received under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The post reads:
Representatives of P.A.G.E. requested the Mayor and Council consider allowing public input re: the usage of the ARPA funds in an email sent 11/08/22. No response has been received to date.
Brief ARPA update: The Mayor asked for only one action on the ARPA funds during the 11/10/22 Work Session and that was for council’s approval to move forward with directing Department Heads to determine who is eligible in their departments for “premium pay” so that a cost can be determined. The motion was unanimous in favor 6-0.
