Pocatello–Old Town Pocatello is ready for Christmas! The street lamps are already festooned with garland, and downtown merchants are filling their windows with holiday displays. Festivities officially begin the weekend after Thanksgiving, with a pair of family-friendly events to get everyone feeling that Christmas cheer.
On Friday, November 25, the Night Lights Parade will again wind its way through downtown, arriving through the Center Street underpass and proceeding up Main Street. Hundreds of floats are expected, and there will be candy and prizes for all.
November 26 is Small Business Saturday. Santa will be at Station Square from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for free visits and photos, and his friends Rudolph, Frosty, and the Grinch will be around the downtown area. Local merchants will also be offering special deals to help with your holiday shopping, and dining specials will keep your appetite satisfied!
