Pocatello–Award-winning local author Kirby Jonas will be at Idaho Unlimited this afternoon from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. to sign his novels. Jonas is the author of over thirty books, all set in the West, as well as a variety of short stories. While he will sign any of his books if asked, today’s event will focus on his newest releases: Windfall and Tenn Rhoades to Hell.
Windfall tells the story of a barmaid who believes her life has taken a turn for the better after she finds a briefcase full of money, only to find herself facing death when the Mob comes looking for their lost cash.
Tenn Rhoades to Hell is the tale of a man who determines that he will not let his friend’s killers destroy what is good in the once-peaceful haven of Lonesome Valley.
When asked what he would like readers to take away when they finish one of his books, Jonas said, “I want my readers to reach the end of every one of my books, whether it’s a happy ending or one of my few sad ones, knowing that they have been deeply moved, and with the satisfaction of knowing the book ended just as it should have. I would be grateful if my readers had come to love my fictional characters as much as I do, because to me, they become real people, and after I write “the end”, I miss them the same as if I were saying goodbye to close friends.”
Idaho Unlimited is located at 215 E. Cedar Street, Suite C, in Pocatello.
