Ron Nate

Former legislator and Economics Professor Ron Nate will be the featured speaker at the Pocatello-Chubbuck Observer hosted Liberty Dinner, scheduled for Saturday, January 21, 2023.  Nate, who is working on policy issues with the Idaho Freedom Foundation, will be speaking on ‘Idaho Legislative Conservative Agenda for 2023.’  Nate previously spoke at the April 2021 Liberty Dinner on the subject of taxes.

Nate was born and raised in Salt Lake City.  He received his B.S. in economics from the University of Utah and a M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Connecticut.  Nate is an economics professor at BYU-Idaho.  During his teaching career of over two decades, Nate has helped nearly 10,000 students understand the blessing of America’s free-market economic system.  Nate and his wife, Maria Olsen Nate, have four children.

The dinner will be held at Mountain Valley Baptist Church, 202 S. 7th Avenue in Pocatello.  The doors open at 5:30 p.m., with attendees having the opportunity to meet other citizens involved in, or looking to be involved in, promoting conservative ideas locally and in Idaho and beyond.

Liberty Dinners are held on the 3rd Saturday of each month.  The cost to attend each dinner is $25 per person.  Dinners typically sell out a month in advance.
