Bannock County–A morning snowfall contributed to two crashes south of Pocatello this morning.

Idaho State Police reports that around 10:00 a.m., a Pocatello man driving a Lexus rear-ended a snowplow on south-bound I-15, near Downey.  The plow operator was not injured, but the driver of the Lexus was taken to a local hospital by ground ambulance.

At 10:16 a.m., a young Pocatello man was approaching the city from the south on I-15, when he found himself leaving his lane of travel.  In attempting to recover, he overcorrected and his vehicle rolled off the right shoulder of the highway.  He was also transported to the hospital by ground ambulance.
