Rexburg–When journalist David George spoke this month at a Stand Up For Idaho event, he shared the following thoughts about the lack of debate during last year’s GOP Primary.
In summarizing the video, George explained:
In the 2022 Republican primary elections, Idaho watched as the sitting Governor and congressman for the 2nd congressional district shut out every viable competitor.
While it might be the case that the Republican Party has done many good things in terms of its principles and platform, we have witnessed the authoritarian corruption of the Republican Party in Idaho as it turned on its own members for the sake of retaining power.
The single ray of hope in the midst of these troubling developments is found in the “changing of the guard” within the Republican Party.
