Pocatello–Save the date! Southeastern Idaho Community Action Agency Inc. is planning a celebration in honor of their 60th anniversary of helping seniors with meals. In a social media post dated February 15, they said:
Join us on March 8th at SEICAA’s St. Anthony Place to celebrate 60 years of serving meals to seniors!
It’s true: We have been serving meals to seniors in Bannock County since 1963, long before national senior nutrition programs were established. The volunteerism and our supporters’ desire to aid local seniors with noon meals helped inspire our incorporation into the National Community Action Partnership. Needless to say, senior services are integral to SEICAA’s framework, and we will strive to continue offering “more than just a meal” for years to come.
