Pocatello, ID–Several of the City’s Advisory Boards have current or upcoming vacancies. These volunteer committees advise the City on a variety of special matters, ranging from historic preservation to human rights. Board members are generally required to be 16 years of age or older, and reside in the City of Pocatello. A complete list of the boards, the open seats, and the responsibilities of each can be seen here.
Applications for most current vacancies must be received by June 20; only the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee has no application deadline.
The Animal Shelter Advisory Board, and the Pocatello Arts Council each have one open seat; the Hearing Examiner and Civil Service Commission have two. The Community Development Block of Grant Advisory Committee has one at-large position open, as well one position for a resident of the Alameda, Bonneville, or Historic Old Town neighborhoods. Finally, the Construction Board of Appeals and Review has an opening for an individual from the architectural or engineering trades.
