The Pocatello Fire Department will be helping people cool off at various parks this summer, through their Cool Rain in the Park events. They plan to create rain at the following parks:
- Wednesday, June 14: Caldwell Park, 700 E Lewis Street
- Tuesday, July 11: Alameda Park, 601 E Poplar Street
- Thursday, August 3: Raymond Park, 100 Block of N Grant Avenue
The event descriptions on their social media page read, “During the event, firefighters station an engine near the park and turn the hoses on, giving park-goers a chance to cool off in the simulated rain. Firefighters will also be on hand to talk to children about smoke alarms, home-escape planning, and more. All events will begin at noon and are weather/emergency call permitting. Please do not bring items that you do not want to get wet.”
