On June 1, the Idaho Freedom Foundation launched a month-long ‘Pride in America’ series highlighting individuals “who ha[ve] demonstrated and defended American values.” So far, the series has recognized people as diverse as explorer Davy Crockett, entrepreneur Elon Musk, saleswoman Nancy Green, and athlete Riley Gaines.
The most recent post focuses on President Grover Cleveland, who author Ron Nate considers “perhaps the last US President to truly know what it means to ‘preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States’.” In his article, Nate provides several examples of Cleveland’s efforts to conduct the affairs of government along Constitutional lines, even when his decisions were unpopular with his own political party.
