Idaho Falls–Stand Up For Idaho will host a livestreamed discussion with Mat Staver, founder of Liberty Council, at their Wednesday meeting on September 13.
SUFI’s announcement reads:
We are very excited and privileged to have the opportunity to have a livestream discussion with internationally renowned Mat Staver, Founder of ‘Liberty Council’. This will be a real-time/2-way interaction between Mr. Staver and the audience. Please come and bring your family and friends. This is an opportunity you do not want to miss.
Liberty Counsel is an international nonprofit litigation, education, and policy organization, dedicated to advancing religious freedom, the sanctity of life, and the family since 1989 by providing pro bono assistance and representation on these and related topics.
Mr. Staver holds Bachelor, Master, and Juris Doctorate degrees and an honorary Doctorate of Law and Doctorate of Divinity. He has argued three landmark cases before the United States Supreme Court as lead counsel and written numerous briefs to the High Court. Mat has argued in numerous state and federal courts across the country and has over 250 published legal opinions. He has authored hundreds of popular articles, eight scholarly law review publications, numerous brochures, booklets, and books, including Eternal Vigilance: Knowing and Protecting Your Religious Freedom and Why Israel Matters.
Stand Up For Idaho is an Idaho Falls-based nonpartisan citizens’ organization that peacefully and actively advocates for the rights and liberties of all Idaho citizens. Their Wednesday meetings are held at the Snake River Event Center (Shilo Inn), located at 780 Lindsay Blvd. in Idaho Falls. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the meetings begin at 6:30.
