Fred Birnbaum, Legislative Affairs Director for the Idaho Freedom Foundation, will visit East Idaho this week to discuss the state’s financial situation.

Birnbaum’s first presentation will be Wednesday, October 11, at Stand Up For Idaho’s weekly meeting.  SUFI’s event announcement explains:

Are you concerned about Idaho’s financial status?  Fred Birnbaum of the Idaho Freedom Foundation is coming to give us his perspective on Idaho’s financial status.

Fred joined the Idaho Freedom Foundation in 2014 as vice president and chief operating officer after working 25 years in the paper and packaging industry. Fred now serves as the IFF’s Legislative Affairs Director and guides the Foundation’s policy efforts.

Before joining IFF, he served as director of business and financial analysis for Packaging Corporation of America, formerly Boise Inc. His experience in industry includes roles in finance, operations, project management, and factory management.

Stand Up For Idaho’s weekly meetings are held at the Snake River Event Center, located at 780 Lindsay Blvd. in Idaho Falls.  Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the presentation begins promptly at 6:30.  These meetings are free and open to the public.

Birnbaum will also be presenting at the Bingham County Conservative’s October Liberty Event on Friday, October 13.  This meeting will be held in the upper level of the Blackfoot Elks Lodge, located at 123 North Ash St.  Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the presentation will begin at 7:00.  Light refreshments will be served.  Reservations may be made by calling 208-681-7620.  Please note that there is a $5 admission fee for this event.
