In a recent social media post, the City of Chubbuck recognized the eight individuals and groups who adopted parks in 2023.  The post reads:

On 11/1/23, the Mayor, City Council, and city staff held an appreciation event for our community partners who adopted parks and other public spaces as part of our first year of the Adopt-A-Park program. In the first year there were 8 parks and public spaces that were adopted, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the hours of services that each adopter put into helping to enhance their adopted space! In 2023, adopters were:
  • Cotant Park- Idaho Central Credit Union
  • Bistline Park- Phil Cisneros
  • Stuart Park- Undercut Tree Services
  • Osborn Tennis Complex at Cotant Park- Portneuf Valley Tennis Association
  • Capell Park- The Christmas Cousins Crew
  • Hiram Park- Wadsworth Family
  • Jerry Rowland Park- Chubbuck Police Department
  • Armstrong Park- Rodger Sealey

The program is open to any individuals, community groups, neighborhood associations, faith-based organizations, businesses, teams, etc. The City of Chubbuck’s Adopt-A-Park Program is a 9-month commitment from March through November (as weather permits). Adopters are required to spend a minimum of 1 day each month cleaning, improving, or maintaining the park as needed.
