The City of Pocatello invites interested parties to submit Proposals to assist with the City’s Safe Streets and Roads for all Action Plan. The awarded consultant shall conduct an analysis of existing conditions and historical trends across the jurisdiction as well as conduct feasibility studies, including traffic analysis, in select areas of Pocatello including: Downtown Pocatello along N. Main St. and N. Arthur Ave.; the City’s Alameda Neighborhood, spanning north to south from Alameda Rd. to Oak St. and west to east from Yellowstone Ave. to I-15; and the North Hawthorne area, spanning north to south from I-86 to Route 30 and west to east from Philbin Rd. to Pole Line Rd.. The project is funded through the U.S. Department of Transportation (U.S. DOT) Safe Streets and Roads for All grant program. The City is looking for firms with documented experience conducting traffic and transportation feasibility studies as well as those firms with experience completing plans in accordance with the U.S. DOT Safe Systems Approach. The project objectives include an analysis of current travel conditions, options for the conversion of the streets, conceptual designs, and cost estimates for construction phases of the concepts.
