Pocatello–This weekend’s event lineup begins on a more sober note, with the first item on the list being the Wreaths Across America ceremony at Mountain View Cemetery (near Brady Chapel) at 10:00 a.m.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting the Pocatello Grocery Outlet, located at 1732 Hurley Dr, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Photos, free candy canes, and face painting will be available.
Connections Credit Union will also be hosting Santa at their Oak Branch, located at 1150 N 8th Ave in Pocatello, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The event notes read: Join us at our Oak Branch for FREE pictures with Santa on December 16th from 11 am to 1 pm. Dive into the holiday spirit with hot cocoa, cookies, and good times for all! Our enthusiastic staff is gearing up for a festive day, and we can’t wait to welcome you to this joyful event in Pocatello. See you there!
Santa and his helpers will be hosting a Winter Wonderland at the Elks lodge today as well. The event notes read: Santa and his helpers will be at the Pocatello Elk’s Lodge [located at 410 S Main St.] on Dec 16th for free visits and photos. Courtesy of Brilliant Moments and SnakeRiverDoodles. There will also be a great Christmas Market, Santa Letter Station, Ugly Sweater Contests, Cookie Decorating, Music, and More.
For the littles, there will be a special Kids Ornament Decorating Party at the Riverwoods Event Center, located at 1499 Bannock Highway, from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. The event notes read: Bring the little ones out to decorate a Christmas ornament, have hot cocoa, snacks and a visit from Santa!! We have lots of local ladies donating their time and resources to make this a fun day!! A $5 donation per ornament is requested but not required. This event is recommended for children ages 10 and under.
To close out your day, don’t miss Gem Prep: Pocatello’s Holiday Concert at 5:00 p.m., in the school’s gymnasium, located at 4145 Yellowstone Ave in Chubbuck. Admission is free.
