Chubbuck–The City of Chubbuck reminds the community to practice safe driving habits during the holidays. They reposted a reminder from the Chubbuck Police Department:
This winter holiday season the Chubbuck Police Department is joining the Idaho Office of Highway Safety (OHS) and more than 50 law enforcement agencies across Idaho to urge drivers to think twice before drinking and driving. Now through New Year’s Day, drivers will see officers working on a special high-visibility enforcement campaign to spread the message about the dangers of impaired driving.
According to data from OHS, last year in Idaho there were 1,818 impaired driving crashes killing 110 people. Tragically, impaired driving puts Idahoans at risk every day and it is completely preventable.
