With the Republican Party’s Presidential Caucus just over one month away, the local Legislative Districts are fully engaged in organizing a successful caucus experience in Bannock County.   Bannock County Commissioner John Crowder, who is also the Republican Chairman for Legislative District 29, is spearheading that effort.  In a recent email, he explained the preparations:

In Bannock County, thirteen locations have been selected for registered Republicans in our fifty-seven precincts as caucus locations.  Locations have been selected in Chubbuck, Downey, Inkom, Lava, and Pocatello.   Each of the fifty-seven precincts has been assigned to a location.

In order to run the caucus successfully, dozens of volunteers are needed.  Crowder explained that volunteers will “help set up, run the audio-visual equipment, verify eligibility to participate [using] provided poll books, hand out ballots, monitor the ballot boxes, open the ballot boxes and count ballots, and take down when done.”  In order to avoid disenfranchising the volunteers, each will be assigned to assist where their precinct is voting.

Volunteers must be registered Republicans, able to work from approximately 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Those interested should contact John Crowder at jcrowder27@hotmail.com.  For more information about the caucus, click on the flyer below.
