The City of Pocatello Parks and Recreation Department is offering the class Wilderness First Aid on Saturday, November 16 and Sunday, November 17. Both classes are from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with Saturday’s class to be held at the Outdoor Recreation Shop at Ross Park and the Sunday class to be held at the East Fork Mink Creek Nordic Center.
The announcement notes read: “Learn the skills to prevent and respond to medical issues and emergencies in the backcountry. Topics covered include response and assessment, musculoskeletal injuries, soft tissue injuries, medical emergencies, and environmental emergencies. Successful course completion yields 2-year certification through SOLO.”
