The Bannock County Treasurer’s Office would like to notify taxpayers that there is a possibility that their 2024 tax notices could be mailed later than usual this year.

Due to a software issue in the State Tax Commission’s office, the Bannock County Treasurer’s Office has been unable to complete the process of generating taxes at this time. The State is working hard to resolve the issue, and the Treasurer’s Office will do everything possible to get your tax notice to you as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, this delay is out of our control and we appreciate everyone’s patience while this gets resolved.

In the meantime, the Treasurer’s Office is happy to calculate an estimate for an individual’s 2024 tax bill. However, the estimate will not include the Homeowner Tax Relief (HB 292) provided by the legislature.

Those who prefer to pay their taxes before they receive their bill are welcome to pay their estimated amount. If you would like an estimate of your tax bill before you receive your official notice, please call the Treasurer’s Office at 208-236-7220. (Any tax overpayment will go towards the property owner’s 2024 2nd half-tax bill or their 2025 tax bill.)

The December 20th due date for the first half of the taxes will remain the same in accordance with Idaho Code 63-903.
