The video of the Bannock County Commissioners meeting held on February 11, 2025, has been posted on the County’s YouTube page.
During the meeting, Commissioner Bullock brings up an issue with the McCammon Cemetery District which was brought to his attention by the mayor of McCammon. Bullock states, “two of the other commissioners [of the cemetery district] have passed on which only leaves the chairman who is continuing to operate as a chairman…” Bullock goes on to say, “I don’t know how she’s ever going to set a budget or a levy all by herself.” Bullock suggested that Bannock County offer help, “before she has to do a budget and a levy which I think could be illegal.” Regarding the potential illegality, Bannock County Clerk Jason Dixon interjected, “It would be for sure.” Further discussion involved making the Idaho State Tax Commission aware of the situation and steps that could possibly be taken to get a full cemetery board.
