A recent podcast by Conservative Ladies of America focused on two bills proposed during the current Idaho legislative session. The host asks, “Is free speech on the line in Idaho?”
According to an analysis by the Idaho Freedom Foundation, “House Bill 306 would replace the current misdemeanor of libel with the felony of “criminal libel,” which includes excessive penalties,” while “House Bill 307 would task the Idaho secretary of state with investigating allegedly false information published about a candidate.”
