KIDS CONSTITUTION CAMP POCATELLO ID
Learn about the creation of our government through games and activities, learn revolution SPY techniques, meet a real-life spy and the founding fathers of our great nation. June 9-13 8:30am- 12:30pm. Location: Calvary Chapel 1633 Olympus Dr, Pocatello, ID
For a full week, 7-12-year-olds come and have an interactive experience learning about our country’s Founding Fathers and the documents that they worked so hard to create.
Throughout the week, the children learn & practice songs from the musical Take Your Hat Off When The Flag Goes By. These songs teach about the principles our country was founded on.
Friday night at 6 pm, these children performed this musical for their parents and our community members.
Monday through Thursday, they rotate through classes where they Run Drills with the Culpeper Militia, make dog tags with the local military, learn about the Fourth Amendment with red coats and local deputies, pass invaluable information about the revolution with the Culper Spy ring, and live a day in the life of a common 1770s citizen.
On Friday, the last day of camp, we get to meet the Founding Fathers. The kids rotate through classes and learn about the lives of these men and ask questions about the Founder’s upbringing, hobbies, family life, etc. They learn about how these men were different, but how they had the common goal and passion of creating freedom for America.
