POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho State Police (ISP) is investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 2:00 a.m. on October 24, 2025, on northbound Interstate 15 milepost 70 in Bannock County.
At about 2:00 a.m., a 47-year-old male from Pocatello was traveling northbound on Interstate 15 driving a 1997 Mitsubishi 3000 GT. The driver veered to the right, hit the guardrail and went over it, striking the Monte Vista overpass pillar.
The driver was wearing a seat belt and was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Two of the three northbound lanes of Interstate 15 were blocked for 3 hours for cleanup. This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
