The United States Fish and Wildlife Service will be hosting an educational workshop, “Modern Hunting Ammunition – Opportunities for Camas National Wildlife Refuge Hunters and Wildlife Conservation,” facilitated by the North American Lead-free Partnership.
Attendance is free, and the event will take place Saturday, August 15th, 2026, at the Camas National Wildlife Refuge, 2150 E 2350 N, Hamer, Idaho 83425, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., beginning with an indoor educational session followed by a live shooting demonstration.
This workshop is designed to give hunters and interested members of the public an interactive look at the best available science surrounding modern hunting ammunition. Participants will be able to compare ballistics firsthand during live range demonstrations and discuss practical considerations such as ammunition cost and availability.
