Calling all ghosts, goblins, witches, and Halloween fanatics — the Second Annual Golden Pumpkin Award is back!
The Pocatello Arts Council is once again searching for the most creative, spooky, and spectacular Halloween displays in Pocatello. Nominations open October 1.
This year, there are even more chances to win, with six awards total, including new categories and two special awards: the Golden Pumpkin People’s Choice Award and The Haunt Beyond the Gate, which will recognize one display outside Pocatello city limits.
The Arts Council is also teaming up with local high school art departments to help design this year’s awards, adding a special touch of student creativity to the competition.
Think your haunted house sends shivers down the block? Have a graveyard taking over your lawn? Whether your decorations are spooky, silly, cute, creepy, or completely over-the-top, we want to see them!
Entering is frighteningly easy. Submit your nomination at pocatello.gov/689/Golden-Pumpkin-Award. A photo of the display is required for an official nomination.
Nominations close October 25, and winners will be announced October 29.
So, dust off the skeletons, carve those pumpkins, and stretch out the cobwebs, it’s time to show us what you’ve got!
