(Power County Sheriff’s Office, October 1, 2026)

On October 1, 2026 at approximately 11:56 am the Power County Sheriff’s Office received notification that an airplane had lost engine power while enroute from Glenn’s Ferry, Idaho to Wyoming. Further information was obtained that the airplane pilot would be trying to land the airplane about 25 miles south of the Pocatello Airport.
Power County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Power County EMS responded to the area. The airplane pilot was able to safely land on Bailey Road in Arbon Valley. The plane was occupied by the pilot and one passenger, neither sustained injury. The FAA was contacted and notified of the incident.

The pilot was able to repair the issue on scene and soon after took off from the scene, resuming their flight. Thankfully the pilot was able to land safely and the incident had a positive outcome. No further information will be released regarding this matter.
